One Click Corrections in Word

If you see a blue double underline or red squiggle underneath a word or series of words in your Word document, it means either you have typed a word that is not recognised by the dictionary, or it is grammatically incorrect. Red is spelling and blue is grammar. To see the spell and grammar corrections, it’s no longer necessary to right-click to show the list of suggested corrections.

  • When you see a word or series of words with a blue double underline or red squiggle underneath, click directly on the error
  • A list of suggested corrections will appear
  • Select the correction required

Alternatively, the keyboard shortcut to show the list of suggested corrections is Alt + Down Arrow.
